Having apprenticed as an appraiser under the stewardship of Edward O. Greer, MAI since 1990, Richard E. Pinkley purchased the company in 2002 from Mr. Greer who had established Greer Patterson & Associates, Inc. in 1977. In 2002 the company began doing business as GPA Valuation.
GPA Valuation is committed to providing the highest level of quality and service to our clients. Our appraisers maintain both mandatory and voluntary continuing education requirements. In addition, our appraisal reports are completed in compliance with the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) and the Code of Professional Ethics of the Appraisal Institute.
Our clients are both nationally and locally based and we are maintained on the approved appraiser list of many government agencies, mortgage companies, banks, trust departments, relocation companies and each appraiser is independently approved on the WSDOT approved appraiser list. Our clients include banks, federal, state, county and city governmental agencies, attorneys, local school districts, corporations, and individuals.Senior appraisers at our firm have 20 to 30+ years of experience in commercial appraising and consulting. They are State-certified General Real Estate Appraisers, with two of the appraisers carrying the MAI designation. Their combined appraisal experience spans all types of improved and unimproved property throughout the state of Washington, as well as periodically in other states in the Pacific Northwest. The issues they address use a variety of approaches from basic sales comparison market value appraisals to complex valuations employing sales, cost and income capitalizaton approaches.
